The East Indian comfort food starts with the endless cups of chai that are refilled constantly, mouth watering stuffed naan, delectable saagwala dishes, perfect tandoori and the list goes on. If there is a birthday at your table they give you a dessert for free. The owners are kind, gregarious (they grew up in Africa but met again in Albuquerque)... More

We enjoyed the two dishes we ordered especially the murgh makahana. This is the third time I have been there and the chicken dishes have always been tasty. One thing to consider, the restrooms are not easily accessable as they are downstairs in the basement and there is no lift/elevator. This is why we probably won't take my 88 yr... More

The best Indian Buffet around. Food is excellant, my drink was never empty, new dishes are added to the buffet, very tasty! More

I rather enjoy this place. I am always stuffed when I leave. We always order way too much food. And the servers I've had are always very helpful. This is good because I am not quite good at ordering Indian food. I haven't had a bad experience yet! For some who have never eaten this type of food, be careful... More

Tried the lunch buffet on a Friday. I was surprised by the limited selection - would not recommend this buffet to a vegetarian due to the small number of non-meat options. However, what was available was well done with a constant supply of fresh, hot naan. The restaurant was very busy and we felt rushed during the meal as the... More

This was the fourth Indian restaurant I tried on my stop here during the balloon fiesta. As usual, very hospitable host, but somehow the setting and food didn't get to me. My wife enjoyed the food more than me, I'll still recommend Rasoi and India Palace above this first. More

Stopped in for the lunch buffet. There was enough variety for me. I stuffed myself for $9.50 each. More

I have eaten Indian food all over the US, and Taj is without a doubt the best! My main office is in Albuquerque, and I would not dream of a trip there without a meal at Taj. The service is fast, the food delicious! I highly recommend a meal here. More
