The views of the Mormon temple and downtown Salt Lake are a huge part of the dining experience at The Roof, particularly if you're there right at sunset and watch the sunset fade and the lights come on. Really a singular experience and, as far as that goes, there isn't a bad table in the place outside of the group... More

View is nice, food is just alright. A bit over rated and over priced. I eat at expensive places--I'm not expecting a deal. I just didn't feel like the food fit the price. Location is everything I guess. More

I remember i went there as a newly high school graduate. And honestly it is a great restaurant. It is worth its price and you need to make arrangements to eat there before you arrive. It is a formal setting and to see the temple lighten up at night it is so romantic! More

After reading glowing reviews on here, a friend and I decided to give it a try. How could ANYBODY like the food there? The prime rib was tasteless (as was almost everything else)! Those few items that DID have taste had an unpleasant taste! Even though when we arrived there there were very few tables occupied, they sat us at... More

Visited and ate at the Roof on our Anniversary and of course loved the view of the Temple but the food is way expensive. More

Very nice location. Very good Atmosphere. Great Service. Food - Just OK. Desserts were excellent. For such a price we went in expecting to be blown away by the food - but everything was just OK. Nothing way better then we would find at another Buffet for 1/4 the price. I guess we are paying for the atmosphere, service and... More

We eat here on special occasions. The view of the LDS Temple is spectacular. The menu is always great. The service is attentive, but respects your privacy, allowing for an intimate meal. The piano player is great as well. A little pricey, but worth it for special occasions. More

This restaurant has a terrific view of temple square in downtown Salt Lake. My wife and I went for our anniversary. This is one of the nicer restaurants found in the Salt Lake valley. The buffet was stocked with excellent cuisine and the service was terrifice. Expect to pay top dollar though (>$120 for two). More
