Nice atmosphere. Promoted as an 'Olde English Pub', but is not very authentic for an English person! More like what a New Zealander thinks an English pub might be like! Nevertheless, good service and nice environment.

This pub is a great litlle place, so much character and also a great beer garden.
The food however is not that special. We found the food to be very bland, it tasted like it had been just cooked from frozen.
This is a really lovely pub to drink in...if they maybe made a smaller fresh food menu it would...

This place isn't anything too special but if you have forgotten what an English pub looks like, or you are staying in Renwick and fancy a drink then it's worth dropping in for a quick half.

The hosts are always so welcoming and the beer garden is very cosy. Plent of good beers on tap with some excellent value meals and snacks.

A nice, quiet little New Zealand interpretation of a British pub. Lots of good beers and cider on tap, very reasonably priced, great ambience. Used as a home 'base' by the RNZAF members based at nearby Blenheim. The food is OK, good 'pub grub' basically.

We went here for a quick pub meal after visiting a few vineyards. While the atmosphere is cute and quaint, it's nothing exceptional. Add to that the food was terrible (beef hot pot was like microwaved leftovers) and very overpriced - do not go here unless it's for a very quick pint and you do not enjoy good service.

When deciding what wine to have with our meal, our lovely host suggested an Italian styled Montepulciano vino. Very nice. I chose the beef...
