Excellent food, good selection of wines (mostly Hunter Valley of course), friendly and proficient staff, pleasantly decorated in French country style and just a brilliant location. More

We are locals to the area and regularly dine in the vineyards. Tonight when we could not get in at one of our regular restaurants, we decided to go to Bistro Molines for the first time, and I have to say that I'm glad we could not get in at the other restaurant. The service from the wait staff was... More

Went for lunch with my fiancé while checking out wedding reception venues. Bistro molines has the most amazing view over the hunter valley that you just don't experience at other restaurants and venues in the region. The food was devine, loved the filet mignon and the whitebait were delish! Not cheap, but a nice treat :) More

This place is spectacular for lunch - the views are romantic and the food and service absolutely outstanding, highly recommend it. The venison was out of this world! More

My partner and I dined at this restaurant on Friday night, April 27, on the back of the owner and Head Chef, Robert Moline, winning back his previously held "1 Hat" from his days at Robert's, Peppertree. It was one of 3 places we dined at over the weekend. We went all out having breads and olives, entree, main and... More

Robert is a french chef with a proven track record. We have been to the Hunter Valley approximately 10 times over the last 10 years. Of course a trip to "The Hunter" is all about wine and dining out. We had never made it to "Roberts" so were really excited that we were at last going to sample his fare.... More

Other than the cockatoos you could be forgiven you are sitting in the Reims Valley or some gorgeous Provence Cafe this is special as was his previous restaurant. The food is what you would expect from a French Cafe as casual or formal as you would like it to be. No matter what the occasion i would recommend this to... More

the food was delicious. we both had the fillet mignon which was amazing. If you go for a late lunch you can enjoy the views. Its tastefully decorated as well. the service we found lacked, especially after eating at Muse restaurant the night before where the service was amazing. besides that, it was lovely. More

I've been trekking up to the hunter valley for 14 years and Robert Molines has, in my opinion, always proved himself to be the best of the best in the hunter valley region. Over Easter I again came up to the valley to sample the fare and was again impressed with Robert's menu selection and use of seasonal produce. Put... More

You know a place is awesome when you question even writing a review, because you just don't want to make it too popular. But that is very arrogant of me. Head Chef Robert serves up provincial french like you french grandmother (if you had one) would make. Only better. Think Michelin star quality food. It's that good. I would go... More
