My husband and I flew all day and were starving when we got to the resort. We wanted sushi but Amasia didn't open until 5, so we waited 3 hours even though we were starving because we had heard good things about Amasia. Believe me, they did not disappoint. I ordered the 5 course tasting menu, and it was by... More

Wonderful, creative Japanese cuisine. The interior has a really cool vibe and you could easily sit at a table, the lounge, the sushi bar or one of the private rooms with seating on the floor..

Interesting menu with interesting product, but nothing as exceptional as the hype. The space felt like Walt Disney World. Would not choose to return.

I loved the small plates and service. Things that looked odd on the menu were delicious. Loved this restaurant.

great japanese fused cuisine and excellent service. They made exceptions to the menu to accomodate diet of visitors. Ask them to pick the food for you!

Just sat at sushi bar and ate some ahi and a few rolls, good service, the old Kincha room is basically intact.

I am a fan of Alan Wong's. Love the restaurant on King Street on Oahu. That being said I was sorely disappointed with our Amasia experience. Service: I'd expect better from the Grand Wailea and the Alan Wong name. No one explained the menu...we had to ask questions. FYI - the pineapple are "Alan Wong" signature dishes and the other... We are regular visitors of Oahu and Maui and have eaten at nearly all the top restaurants. We were excited to try Amasia bc of the great experiences we have had at Alan Wong's Pineapple House in Honolulu. This restaurant does not compare. I'm surprised to see some of these high ratings bc this place does not live up to... More

We went for cocktails and appetizers on the recommendation of a friend. Our experience was immediately off to a bad start with the least hospitable hostess I've ever encountered. This was followed up a very long wait for a server to bring menus. When he did finally arrive, he was clueless about almost everything on the menu and two specialities... More

We got reservations at Alan Wong’s Amasia for dinner as we wanted to stay in the resort after our travels. I think the reviews that on TA are mostly fair. I do have to say that the space, while tucked back in the courtyard between two room towers with no view to speak of, takes you to another place. Our... More
