In a couple of trips to the Cellar Door we have had 2 good meals, 2 acceptable meals, and 2 poor meals. The service is inconsistent even on slow nights. Market street has too many good places to eat to bother with an average one. More

Owner/host very accommodating but the food is just so-so. Too many excellent restaurants nearby, wouldn't bother with this one. More

It was kind of fun eating at an upscale restaurant which is in the basement of a building. The exposed brick and lots of candles made for a cozy dinner. The food was very good. I had crab bisque followed by lobster tail with vanilla butter fennel risotto. Quite good except the lobster tail was in 3 rather small pieces.... More

We had our rehearsal dinner in the cellar door for a party of about 30 people. It was very cozy but not in a bad way. Intimate setting without being crowded. Food was fantastic. Service was fantastic. Atmosphere was warm and refined. Only issue we had was with a local door man who had one too many chilled beverages who... More
