We had breakfast here and they did a fairly good job of getting people through the line. The good, hearty breakfast helped get us a good start for the rest of our day. The omelet I had was very good.

As a previous reviewer has mentioned, it’s more like a cafeteria than a restaurant (though there is a small cafe for drinks and snacks), but there is a glass wall that looks out over the valley – offering spectacular views.

Since we had eaten dinner at the Metate Room twice we decided to eat at the Far View Terrace for one meal. Very good selection and good prices.
We went to the Far View Terrace for breakfast one morning. The selection was good but the prices were outrageous! I had cold cereal, a bagel, yogurt and coffee and paid slightly over $15.00.
Breakfast at the Far View Terrace was efficient and good. They give you plenty of food for the price, and have a good variety including made-to-order omelets and breakfast burritos. Also, there is plenty of seating.
Cafeteria style food. Not bad and quick and easy that allows you to get an early start to see the sites.
6:30pm and no customers. If you have not been to Mesa Verde; be prepared, it is desolute. The restaurant is not attached to the "lodge". About a 1/2 mile drive or walk. Staff there was good; selection were good and shopping was interesting.
Even though they have basic food, we were glad that there was an alternative to the pricey restaurant on the property, and it was adequate for our stay.
Mesa Verde is casual; so is the Far View Terrace Restaurant. Food was OK, but the restaurant ran out of several items in the evening, so go early. In the mornings, try to avoid the tour buses because that makes for a longgggg line at the cafeteria. There are many tables, but the staff wasn't able to clear them all...

Homemade chile and soups were pretty good. Frybread for the Navajo taco was dry and hard. Not really much to choose from.
