Arrived early (7pm) hopeful of getting an "early" meal, and delighted to find the restaurant not only open but very welcoming! Lovely hostess with excellent English, a great and varied menu, and efficient service. Thoroughly recommended. More

We visit El Chaleco every holiday a few times because for sure it has the best food and best price-quality in town including Nerja and La Herradura. My favorite is the tournedos with a sauce of bearnaise, I have never experienced better.... My advice, make the reservation today........ Landa and Erwin More

We were lucky to get a table when they served a special lobster meny.3 differnt Lobster starters and a whole lobster for main course. Very good value for money. Friendly service and a good wine selection. More

Be sure to make a reservation in good time. The summer surprise menus (fish or meat) can well be recommended Do not leave Almunecar wihout having tried the local CALVENTE red (Castillejos) or white wine! More

We had a wonderful dinner on a hot night in August. Food splendid, service excellent, our only observation was that the relaxed atmospere was slightly marred by small children running around after 10.30pm in the restaurant but hey, we're in the south of Spain at holiday time so this is the norm for here!!
