It's always packed so be sure to make a reservation! I am a local here and have enjoyed everything I've tried! Try the lobster macaroni and the bone in filet for sure! It's not for the dieting type bc like Hal says, "butter makes it better!" Go for happy hour and enjoy live music at the bar. Leave the kids... More

The morons allow smoking in doors!! And everyone offers excuses for allowing it - regardless of the fact that the second hand smoke is dangerous for patrons and employees alike, and ruins the dining experience.

A great "after work" bar for the perfect crowded beer or bourbon is where you start. Then you go to the classic white linen table clothes for an excellent steak house experience. Great service, excellent wine list, wonderful ambiance and simply great steaks. If you are closing a deal in Atlanta, take your clients here.

I'm not a big meat and potatos girl, but I love the sides that accompany them. My husband love his steak, thought it was cooked to perfection. I usually do not like lamb but the lamb chops that the table shared were actually the "unlambiest lamb" ive ever tasted.

I came here with friends who had visited Atlanta before. The meal did not disappoint and the filet is the star here although they do offer a few other cuts as well as an extensive array of fish and other meats to include several veal dishes. Unlike most higher end steakhouses, the steak is served with one side dish which... More

In town for Final Four and was invited to a group dinner at Hal's. very good appetizers - calamari, crawfish, shrimp. Had a really nice filet, mashed potatoes were great. Desert sampler was a perfect way to end the meal. Place is busy and a bit noisy - but very enjoyable

Came here with my son during the Final Four. Saw it profiled on Atlanta Eats and I had to try it. Came on Friday night and it was packed so I assumed I would be waiting for my table even though I had a reservation but I was pleasantly surprised when we were immediately seated at a nice table. The... More

We heard about Hal's from several of our business partners so we decided to try it out. The filet was exceptional, probably the best I've ever had in Atlanta. The place seemed a little dirty though for such a popular restaurant. All of the dinner knives on the table were spotty and greasy and the menus were greasy with crumbs... More

When we visit Atlanta Hal's is always on the top of the list to eat. It is a local favorite. The filet is out of this world. It is just the most tender and flavorful ever. The service was excellent and with our reservation we were seated immediately. It is a popular place and well deserves the reputation.

I will come to Hal's regardless of the service I receive. Their filet is the best in the city hands down. Between the hostess giving attitude, our waiter rarely stopping by, and the drunk 60 year olds, you have to by pass a lot of other stuff to get this steak. But trust me, its worth it. Escargot is wonderful,... More
