Loved that bologna for breakfast.. Nice place good food .. good service.. Loved how they keep your coffee cup full!
More like 3 1/2 stars, if I could rate it that way. This is my second time. Good salmon cakes...a little over fried on the outside. Very good pancakes (better than expected, but not the best I have had)...nice even color and cooked well. Basic home fries...enjoyed. Eggs a bit over cooked and chopped up, but a finished them. No... My wife and I stopped by for breakfast this week after purchasing a Groupon coupon. We were both pleased with our breakfast experience. We parked in the wrong parking lot when we got there and found out when we got to the front door so we had to move but no big deal. Parking is in the back of the... More
For years I have depended on Trip Advisor for guidance when my family and I travel. Particularly when it comes to dining out. Since I am a baker and some say a good southern cook, I look for good down home food when traveling down south. I always base a place on whether or not I have to go out... More
Went to Mcleans restaurant for a Sunday breakfast while in Richmond. This place is nothing special. Portions are of average size if not below average. Prices are fair. Service was good. No ambiance whatsoever. Food was only okay. Really can’t mess up breakfast fare to badly. If you’re looking for a mediocre place for breakfast this place is for you.... More
I enjoy stopping here for breakfast every so often. It reminds me of the diner in my hometown. The menu is basic and the food is good, prices are reasonable and service is quick and they keep my coffee cup full. How can you go wrong?
I have always enjoyed my breakfasts at this joint when I come to down but the last 2 out of 3 experiences have not been good. I found hair in my omelette one time and next time, there was hair in my biscuits & gravy and the attitude from the server is Oh well and we'll take it off the... More
This place has moved in the past couple of years to a bigger and more modern location but they kept all the great food and service. The waitresses are great and VERY attentive. When in the area I can't wait to hit McLeans for Breakfast and you should also.
McLeans, is an old working class establishment on Broad St. Richmond. It is reputed to have the biggest breakfast in town. And, I'm sure they do! It's funcky, old fashioned and attracts rich, poor, blue collar, retirees and college students. This is exactly my, kind of demographic for those times when I don't want fine dining. It provides great people... More
I've only been for breakfast, but it's really great. It looks and feels like any other mom & pop diner, but the food is delicious, is served quickly, and is a fantastic value for the money. You'll get more food than you can possibly eat for $5. Love their biscuits!
