What a wonderful find! Tucked away on Marshall street! Food was fabulous and portions were huge. Our waitress Rachelle was terrific! A definite 5 star.

Walking around the area around VCU smelled it before we saw it and our noses were right! We will eat here the next time we are in Richmond.
While visiting VCU, asked a few individuals about places for lunch and this establishment was mentioned by all but one. We now know why. Fantastic sandwiches and salads!
We routinely visit family in Richmond and love the eclectic, non-chain restaurants across the city. Like most places is Richmond, this restaurant has limited seating... but this one is definitely worth the wait! Truly one of the best places to eat in town. Hard to write this review because I would like to keep this one all to myself! It...

Made a point to visit while in town for a wedding. Both battleships were well worth the trouble trying to find it ;) The servers went out of their way to make sure our small children had something they'd enjoy to eat (watermelon soup!) and kept water glasses filled! Will be sure to stop again the next time we're in...

I have never had a bad meal here. I take out of town co workers and guests when they come visit Richmond. This cozy spot has some of the best food in town. The Perfect lunch spot - all the salads, soups and of course those long torpedo sandwiches (I love the shrimp one) are fabulous! Keep up the high...

This is one of those places that I am sure that my review, whether good or bad, really won't make a difference to those that have read the reviews, seen the TV shows, or probably have eaten the food before. But allow me to weigh in...this is as close to a Park Slope joint in Richmond as I have been...

I like quaint and quirky restaurants with good food and this place is among the best! The Black Sheep is in that interesting and transitioning area around VCU so parking can be a problem. The restaurant has only about a dozen tables so the line did build up at lunch-time since the back patio was not open. We got a...

While in the Richmond area for the day, my family thought we would try "The Black Sheep", known for their monster subs. We found paid parking and walked around the block to the restaurant. After walking inside, we were standing in the doorway waiting for someone to greet us. We waited and waited. Then, my husband had the front door,...

There are lots of interesting dishes to choose from here. I got the tofu sandwich with picked veggies. The flavors were great! This is a small restaurant, so you're probably going to wait for a table during popular meal times.
