Description: Unwind, Italian-style, at Rialto, where James Beard Award-winning chef Jody Adams brings an Italian perspective to New England ingredients. This Spring Rialto's kitchen turns its focus to Umbria, the green heart of Italy, home to black truffles and Orvieto wine. Current menu offerings include a Salumi Antipasti with fava mustard, house made ricotta and walnut cheese bread; Umbrian Tagliatelle with cardoons, spring peas and Parmigiano Reggiano; and Whole Roasted Trout with crayfish, lentils, favas and brown butter. The Boston Globe awarded Rialto a coveted four stars in three consecutive reviews and Gourmet Magazine named it one of the "World's Top Hotel Restaurants." Entering this beautiful dining room in the Charles Hotel belies the fact that you are about to experience one of the most creative meals in America. Jody Adams has taken the best ideas from northern Italy and given them just the right twist to keep them fresh. You'll love every bite. More

Lovely place to hang with some friends, nosh a bit and have a beverage or two. The lamb sandwich was exceptional. Very comfortable and outstanding food, too. More

Many times restaurants cut back on their good food offerings for Restaurant Week, but the food at Rialto was just as good as ever. We had three 'first's - the asparagus and deviled eggs were great, the mussels delightful, and the mixed grill a real taste treat. For our entree two of us chose the sea bass and it was... More

We enjoyed dinner at Rialto before the Estelle show at the Regattabar at the hotel (fabulous show btw!). From from the beginning where we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, to the end where we were thanked by Chef Adams on our way out, we experienced a personal level of service and care. The food was creative and very fresh.... More

Tp begin with, have a drink at Rialto's bar. It is just a ovely bar and the bartenders are always personable and professional. Then, the food. What to choose? It is all delicious, and based on what is in season. On a recent visit I had swordfish, and brussels sprouts with apples, on the side. The service is friendly and... More

This is a very nice hotel restaurant. The layout was a bit discombobulated but once we were seated in a delightfully private corner of the restaurant with a nice view of the courtyard, it was a quiet, fun dinner experience. The food was good and the young waiter was very attentive, making sure our anniversary dinner was a pleasant event.... More

I just don't understand the glowing reviews for this restaurant. I've eaten here 3 or 4 times with colleagues, and it is always mediocre. For the money, there are MUCH better restaurants nearby: Journeyman, Hungry Mother etc. More

Rialto is located toward the Charles on the edge of Harvard Square and is foodie heaven. Chef Jodi Adams creates a small, but brilliant menu. It is on the expensive side, but is a great value. Everything on the ever-changing menu is brilliantly executed by Chef Jody, who not only is one of the best and most creative chefs in... More
