This was my second trip to the Friendly Toast and I think it's great. The decor is really fun- like they are constantly raiding second hand shops for sixties decorations and is complete with formica tables and mismatched plates and cups. So it's fun to bring visitors here if only to see the place. But the food is good enough... More

We went on a Monday and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. That was the best part of the visit. The coffee was just not a good cup of coffee and at $2.50 a cup I expected more. The breakfast was okay but it repeated on all of us throughout the day which makes me think old food,... More

I really enjoyed seeing the old posters, dinner ware, and cups at this restaurant. It has a very authentic feel and the all day breakfast is top notch at a very reasonable price. I think the challenge is getting in as it becomes very full early in the morning or around lunch time. Definitely worth the wait though, More

We had heard great things about this place and decided to give it a shot. Arriving to a jam packed restaurant with our bellies groaning, we thought about turning away. As I approached the host stand that seemed to be lost in the sea of people, the very friendly, tattooed hostess (great artwork) told us about an hour. My wife,... More

We stopped in for breakfast on a Monday around 10 and waited a few minutes for a table. By the time we left, the lobby was packed and the wait must have been at least 45 minutes. But it was well worth the wait. The drunken french toast was like dessert on a plate. Huevos Rancheros was delicious, served with... More

I found this restaurant through a search engine and just happened to go for breakfast (overnight in Boston with the "girls") on a Saturday morning. When I clicked over to their website I was impressed with the site, that they had been featured on Man Vs Food and when I looked at their menu I was sold on going there.... More

This place is awesome. Very cool atmosphere. Great decor and music. If you go with a group order a Coconut cake to share. Even better there's a separate menu for cocktails. Huge portions, you will definitely leave stuffed. We live in Ny and have been to this place 3 times in the past 3 months either visiting friends or here... More

I have been to The Friendly Toast's original location in New Hampshire twice and was itching to go back. They now have a second restaurant located in Cambridge, MA near MIT. I brought my friend/co-worker along to experience the kitchy style and yummy food. The menu lists a pancake with cashews, shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and a cocount glaze. I... More

My friend and I came for lunch at 1.30pm on a Tuesday and the place was half full. But we were ushered to a table promptly. There's a sign near the entrance whice goes something like this "please use our atm machine and save us debit/credit card transaction fees". This confused us and thought it meant they only accept cash,... More
