If you are in the mood for Seattle-historical but, as an architect friend of mine said, "without the grunge in the corners", the Virginia Inn is your place. High ceilings, brick walls, lots of wood paneling and a terrific location just a few blocks north of Pike Place Market, this restaurant feels spacious, comfortable and right in the middle of... More

This is my favorite place to stop for lunch, or an after shopping glass of wine and snack. This is a great little bistro with fresh, well- prepared food that never disappoints. It's also a great place to sip wine and people watch if you just can't trudge up another hill :) More

I ordered the fish n chips which is one of my favorite coastal meals, expecting it to be great since we were 2 blocks from the water! As soon as I bit into the first piece something was off. My friend had the same meal and had the same immediate reaction. When the waitress checked in with us we kind... More

We went to the Virginia Inn by accident on St. Patricks Day (there were 3 of us) because there was too long of a wait to get into Kehls. We had never been there before and thought we would give it a try......NEVER AGAIN. We were met by a snarly waitress who told us upon our arrival that we better... More

We popped in here for a drink and appitizers. Service was a little slow, but the drinks were good and the food was good and the price was reasonable. More

My wife listed Virginia Inn on the top of her list for enjoyable dining spots. It was near our hotel and close to the Pike Market. She enjoyed the wine recommended by our server, Christina. This is a high quality dinner location more focused on local trade instead of the passing fancy of tourists. A good value. Berkeley78 More

We had better food here than at several much-higher-priced restaurants in Seattle. It's an old Seattle bar/restaurant (been there since 1903) just up the hill from Pike Place Market. Four of us ate for under $75, with drinks. The stuffed chicken breast and Northwest bouillabaise were particularly good. The service was pleasant and attentive. I'd recommend it highly if you're... We keep going back to Virgina Inn. Really. Like once a week. It is good food, made well, and you can still sit and enjoy being waited on at lunch for $10 (usually more with tip). They always have a couple good lunch specials. These rotate, but the quiche (yes, real men will have quiche) salad combo is a filling... More

This was our second time eating at the Virginia Inn - last time was about two years ago. The menu changed little, as did the quality (thank goodness). The server, the food, the drinks were all fabulous! We had the house pate and cheese platter to start. Yum! For mains we had the Mussels and the Bouillabaise. The mussels were... More
