I had never been to Ray's before, but knew of the reputation as a Seattle staple. I found the decor not important because of the view which is fantastic! We had an overcast sunset, but the moonrise was terrific. There were 3 of us, out for a special dinner. Our server was helpful when asked but unengaging. I found the... More

Creative food and cocktail preparation, best to order to fish! You're in Seattle! Head over at sunset time for an early evening drink, followed by a great dinner and a walk on the beach just a mile away! It's a great place to eat and be!

We were able to eat at this great restaurant on our trip to Seattle. We just happened upon it while taking in the sites, and very happy we did. The service and food were EXCELLENT! Definitely look for this restaurant when visiting Seattle. You'll be glad you did.

I hadn't been to Ray's in a long time but met a friend for dinner. It's still great! We just had an appetizer and two small plates. The food was excellent; service top notch -- and then the view! Watching the sun go down (yes it was a sunny day) over the Olympics with kayakers, boaters and paddle boarders going... More

Love to go here when the weather is great. Food menu is limited, though, and pretty expensive. Cafe is better tasting that upstair casual restaurant where food can be pretty bland.. but very neutral if you're just looking for NW American fare.

Excellent..Best Clam Chowder I ever had. I have to rave about the clam chowder, it was that good. I also had the smoked scallop salad which was wonderful as well as sorbets for dessert, the lavendar honey was exceptional. Definitely a place I want to go back to on my next visit.

The view, the food, the ambiance, and oh, did I mention, the view? We love to sit upstairs in the cafe, or even in the bar during happy hour. It is more casual, and personally, I think the view is better. If the weather is nice, there is a fabulous deck for outside dining.

Looking for a lovely lunch viewing Puget Sound and watching boats come out from the ship canal? Choose Ray's Cafe. Happily, arriving at their 11:30 opening, they met our reservation request for a table by the window. The week-old new menu certainly has a wide array of choices. My friend said Pan-Fried Oysters were her choice. Mine was Grilled Pacific... More

We stopped in for a quick snack and a beer. Awesome seafood and I think this place rocks in the evenings. Great views and atmosphere was unbelievable. Neighborhood pub style and nice restaurant.

Oh, how sad! Other reviewers write how Ray's has changed, how disappointed they are. I'd never been there before and I loved it! We had to dine at 8:15 because we made our reservation the night before. It was sunset and the views of Bainbridge Island were lovely. There was a nice hum in the restaurant, full of small parties...
