Spectacular, breathtaking views of Seattle. And the food was just very good but not spectaular considering other wonderful Seattle restaurants. The service was, in my humble opinion, very snobby and cool, and we felt a little unwelcomed and rushed. We were all appropriately attired in dresses and suits but I was surprised by the lack of hospitality. More

Canlis has been around a long time, but seems to just keep improving with age. Service is perfection and the food delicious beyond belief. Oysters on the half shell and the lobster with cauliflower purée were near perfection. Wayu beef worth the price-- soft, buttery, and extremely flavorful. Wine pairing are expensive, but expertly chosen. The view is spectacular so... More

I'm sorry to be writing this review because Canlis has been our favorite fancy restaurant in Seattle. We have attended a few private parties here and everything was done to perfection. We have celebrated special occasions here in the past and it has been wonderful and we always wanted to go back, but sadly, not this time. First, this is... More

My husband and I took his parents to the Canlis for their 60th wedding anniversary. They spent many anniversaries there until they no longer could make the drive. We live 2 hours away. This was explained to the staff when we made our reservation for 5:00. When booking the reservation, we were informed that there was a 2 hour limit on... More

Everything is great, including the high view over Lake Union. 5 star service and meals. Extensive, but expensive wine list. More

Quite simply one of the most exquisite dining experiences I've ever had. I won't go into the details because I don't want to spoil it for you. Let's just say: they don't miss a thing. Yes, it's fabulously expensive. But you will get your money's worth. My husband said that this was the first $50 steak he'd ever had that... More

We celebrated my pre 60th birthday dinner there after reading rave reviews and were not disappointed. Beautiful 50's style contemporary with great views ( go early enough so that it is still light out). Service was very attentive but unobtrusive and unpretentious. Food was excellent. We ate a series of appetizers, salads, soups and a small portion of an entre... More

For my husband's "big birthday" we went to Canlis to enjoy the piano music in the bar. The surroundings were lovely, the view breathtaking, and the food amazing. It is pricy but well worth it for special occasions. This is truely "the place" in Seattle! We liked the slider, truffle fries, and shrimp appetizers plus the "famous" Canlis salad. More

We have visited Seattle annually for about a decade and always make it a point to visit Canlis. We are never disappointed and were not this time. Service and food are impeccable. View is fantastic, just make sure you have room on your credit card. Well worth the price. More
