Was informed that this was the place to go for fresh seafood, great view of the harbour, and great service. This was not to be the truth. We was overcjarged for an item that was a special, then I was asked if I wanted salad or vegies with my meal. When bill comes I find out that I am then... More

The food was so delicious. The view was very relaxing too. But those both really dont count for much when the service we received ruined both of those positives. The server was uninterested, unfriendly and kept forgetting/not caring about any of our requests. My husband asked for napkins twice and ended up having to get his own. This was a... More

Went to Ray's on Friday night at about 5pm. It wasn't busy/rushed. I ordered a seafood linguine & my wife had the seafood chowder. Both were average bordering boring. Portion size was better than adequate. Nothing stood out... well except for the extraordinarily high prices. Servers were not bad; but were certainly less than happy to be working/serving customers. No... More

I am letting everyone know about this. Read this account from my sister when my 80 year old parents visited the restaurant. Note: I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau. If you have any question that is this real, you can look it up there. "At Ray's right now. Deciding whether to stay or not after the hostess... More

The prices are way too expensive for what you get. We paid $20 each for a salad (with fish on it, yes, but it was a small sized portion) and we both asked for our dressing on the side, but received it with the dressing mixed in. When we mentioned it to the manager, we were told, "sorry. Thanks for... More

I visited Seward in early May 2012 for some halibut fishing. I did not catch any halibut but halibut cheeks and the next day crab cakes at Ray's was fantastic. In May Seward is just beginning to wake up...there is whale watching, codfish, some king salmon, and lots of picture opportunities. Anyway, Ray's is on the waterfront alongside the other... More

The place to go in Seward for fish. Halibut, rockfish and salmon selections have always been worth every penny, which by the way, you will need to bring more than just pennies... prices are not for the faint of heart. Soups were wonderful. Nice wine selection... across the board. No complaints about service. Absolutely no wait time probably due to... More

We had our honeymoon here, Ray's restaurant was the first recommendation by our B&B owner and we went there for dinner. We were tired and hungry yet we had to queue for 2 hours to get our seat. We asked the receptionist if we can reserve the window seat, she told us that the seats were not available for reservation... More

The food wasn't bad and it's a great location right by the harbor, so it gets three stars. There aren't a lot of great dining options in Seward, so Ray's takes advantage of that and offers mediocre food at above average prices. No one in my party of 4 was very impressed with their food, but no one sent it... More
