It's funny, we went to Alaska for the bears, the eagles, the moose and the scenery, and ever since we're back the only thing we can't stop talking about is Yvon and Janet at Le Barn Appetit. I can't give away the details because you kind of make your own experience there I guess, but just go there without expectations... More

We stayed here for the weekend in "Jack London's Cabin." It was absolutely delightful, very cozy, comfortable and romantic. The decor was exceptional - it was easy to see that Janet had chosen each piece with great care and thought. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Then the crepes...absolutely the best you will ever eat. We tried the reindeer sausage, egg,... More

Unique creperie owned by hosts Yvon and Janet. Yvon, originally from Belgium, came to Alaska in the 1960's,, traveled around the US, and decided that Alaska was where he wanted to be. Delicious (but pricey) crepes of all types, some vegetarian, some featuring reindeer sausage and other local game. Yvon loves to share his experiences and love of Alaska. A... More

Le Barn Appetit is off of the Old Exit Glacier road just outside of Glacier. We stopped there for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed both the lunch crepe and the dessert crepe. We split both of them and could have settled for one, but couldn't resist ordering a dessert crepe. This is a bed and breakfast as well as a restaurant,... More

This was a delightful place to have wonderful crepes; probably a better fit for lunch rather than dinner. The proprietors are colorful and friendly. More

I wasn't quite sure about this place when we pulled up, but I kept remembering those crepes I read about, and so glad we went it.....probably the best, freshest meal we had in AK. You feel like you're in the owners kitchen....the wife/waitress sat down at our table to take our order...very friendly owner/chef, tells stories, and he might have... More

We visited Le Barn because of good reviews on this site. When we arrived at 6:00 pm we found the property closed although it was advertised as open until 7:00. Someone working on the grounds told us we could call and book a meal for the next day and we "would have the place all to ourselves." We did not... More

I'm glad we stopped here for dessert. We ordered dessert crepes and they were beautiful and so delicious, the best we have ever had. Yummy! The coffe and company of Yvon and Janet we very nice too. Wonderful people and place. If we lived in Seward we would visit regularly. Watch for Old Exit Glacier Road right after you turn... More

Went to eat breakfast here the day after the 4th of July. Was in town for the Mt Marathon race. And had brought my visitors from out of State here to give it a try. As far as the food goes all we could say is: Wow! I had read other reviews and had a little apprehension and will say... More

Le Barn Appetit and it's owners are truly one of a kind! Every dish Ivan makes is absolutely spectacular and truly made with passion. These are the best crepes we have ever had. Almost a year later I still find myself craving the Rhubarb. This was the best mean we had while in Alaska. Do not miss if you are... More
