We walked in not knowing what we would get and were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the Alaskan artifacts including the dog sled hanging over our heads. It seemed as if we had just ordered and the food came out. The waitress was genuinely interested in us and carried on a friendly conversation every time she passed. While we were eating... More

It looks like a hole in the wall & proclaims to have the best burgers. Inside the decor is rustic wood walls, wood floors, wooden tables with mismatched hairs, lots of historical memorabilia on the walls telling the story of Alaskan Nellie (really interesting story, really interesting lady). We were greated right away and seated by a very nice young... More

This place was just the home-grown atmosphere we were looking for and the food was really great. Loved the reindeer sausage and biscuits and gravy. The photos and history on the walls really added to the experience. More

Right in downtown Seward, Nellie's Roadhouse is a good place for breakfast or lunch. It is a failry small storefront cafe but the service is fast and the place is clean. We all had the fried halibut and thought it was absolutely delicious. Only lightly battered, not too fishy and fried just right, it was an enjoyable stop. Good mix... More

Sure, this is a burger and fries type of chowhouse, but even at that, it left a good bit to be desired. The place isn't especially clean, and the fish and chips I had were way overspiced but kinda bland underneath all that seasoning. On the plus side, they did offer sweet potato fries, which was a welcome change of... More

We had quick lunch at Alaska Nellie's. It was not our first choice based on reviews, but as we walked by the rather plane store front we noticed it was very busy and filled mostly with what appeared to be locals. So we gave it a go and we were very pleased. The Fried halibut was outstanding and the seafood... More

Waited over 29 minutes while the waitress waited on several other tables, finally left without ever ordering. No food is good enough to put up with rude waitress's and bad service. More

This restaurant was extremely reasonable on the prices and offered quite the variety. Soups, seafood, burgers, chicken... a small meal or a large meal depending on your appetite. We enjoyed it so much we came back a second time. More
