Description: Guests of the Island Breeze Luau will be amazed with a display of authentic Polynesian activities, cuisine, and performances. Island Breeze Luau, located in right on the edge of the ocean of the King Kamehameha Hotel is rated the best lu'au on the Big Island by kama'aina (local residents)visitors and travel writers. The luau begins with a lei greeting and picture taking. An open bar, arts and crafts await you. The imu (traditional underground oven) ceremony, is also a part of the exciting beginning to your Island Breeze ohana (family). There are many ways to participate in the luau activities: weave a coconut frond, learn how to open a coconut, learn the art of hula, get a Polynesian tattoo, and take the time to meet and talk to some of the performers. Adults $82.74 Child (5-12) $41.34 Under 5 complimentary

Entertainment couldn't be beat! Location was beautiful and the service was great! Paying for a table up front was worth it!

We'd been to a large Luau in Oahu before and it was really good fun. This was different - much smaller, much more intimate. VERY good food and entertainment. Only complaint was that it was all a bit early - it started at 17.30 with food at about 18.00 which is just too early for us. By 20.30 it was... More

We were staying at the King Kamehameha Hotel so walked across to this luau. good location - seaside. They hold it 3 days a week - sun, tues, thurs: 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm. Good music and dance performances of the polynesian people around the world. The funny guy who taught us how to break a coconut was the best!... More

Think community theater, not Broadway. Food was a nice mix & dance selections were from a variety of pacific island cultures. Best aspect was that we just walked here from King Kam, because it's onsite & I was using a walker & there was a paved walkway

The staff and the entertainers at the luau were great. Pace of the show was good, entertaining and amusing. The food was standard luau food when you are feeding two hundred people. The drink service was slow due to the fact that there was only one server but she was extremely generous with the rum in the mai tai! Overall... More

Did not like the "Photo Op" and Lei push at the front end. The setting is priceless and is a great location for all the logistics of this Luau. Food was fantastic with a good selection. Plenty to drink including Mai Tai by the bucket (included). Performance was perfect, these folks know how to put on a show.

The food was just okay...BUT the overall luau experience was incredibly informative regarding aspects of the Hawaiian and Polynesian culture, plus it was also very fun and entertaining! It was an enjoyable evening!

This is the best luau I've ever attended due to the quality of the performances, the expert pacing of the entire event and the personable staff and cast members Our ten year old son was entertained by the pre-show activities. The food was good- after all a luau is a big buffet if pretty standard fare-- the salad was crisply... More

Researched prior to booking and really wanted to give our 10 year old son a luau experience -- and we had a great time! Everything very well organized for guest enjoyment and paced very nicely--minimizing the "cattle call" tendency of luaus experienced in Tahiti and other islands. Purchasing the upgrade for early admission and preferred seating really does give you... More
