We went to Verwall on the 30 Dec 2011 and enjoyed it so much we returned for the 31 Dec 2011 and celebrate the turn of the year there.
The Germans have a word "Gemuetlichkeit" that transcends translation into English. It means cozy, familial, familiar, friendly, warm, relaxing, blissful all rolled into one. This place defines it.
