I went with a group of friends while on vacation in Nola. We knew we were in for a treat as we'd seen it on 'Diners Drive-ins and Dives'. Between the 9 of us we probably had everything on the menu and everyone raved. Being the only vegetarian of the group, I obviously went for the sides. My favorite was... More

We finally got a chance to try the new site for one of our favorites. New Orleans is famous for food but that doesn't include bar-b-q. But The Joint has great slow-smoked meats and some down-home sides, all at very reasonable prices and in generous portions. I always want the pulled pork sandwich which has more meat than I can... We chose this restaurant because we were a large group that included teenagers. We were not disappointed because it was casual dining at its finest. I'm not a fan of BBQ, but the green salad with chicken was delicious. The portions are generous, and the price is budget-friendly. Service is fast. This place is popular. Seating is limited, and they... More

Went for lunch this week before leaving NOLA :(, Small little place tucked away in the Marigny Bywater area (about 13 blocks from Frenchman St.) Got the pulled pork sandwich. It was delicious. The meat was smoke flavored and so moist. I suggest getting the slaw on your sandwich. Love the decor too. Will return, one day. More

I was in town for New Orleans Jazz Festival and stopped here with a large group. The food is good, not great, but affordably priced. Beer selection was limited, and both nights we were there they ran out of certain types of food. Granted, it was a busy weekend. The room itself is small, so it doesn't accomodate a large... More

I forgot to write a review about this place. You have to go! This is just one of those places you can't miss. They hand you a roll of paper towels when your food comes! Where do you go from there? You KNOW this is gonna' be good. Seriously, get to The Joint, sit yourself down and enjoy some very... More

My fault for thinking this would be an older, traditional smoke house/ bbq joint. Unfortunately it is a much newer, younger spot. I live in Brooklyn and the young and hip foodie scene was the last thing I was trying to seek out during last week's trip to Jazz Fest. Definitely not the style of food we were looking for.... More

We were at a nearby bar (no food) waiting to hear Kermit Ruffins. We sent the men to the Joint to bring back our dinners. An hour goes by, and no food. Turns out that the lines were LONG ('cause it's so good), but that wasn't the problem. Our guys got sidetracked at the bar...having beers with Kermit! Couldn't really... More

Very good bbq. My daughter, who doesn't like bbq, just ordered the macaroni and cheese, and I convinced her to try some of my pulled pork sandwich. She liked the sandwich so much she had me order her one! This bbq doesn't need sauce on it, it's great without! Our entire family also got the macaroni and cheese. It's baked,... More
