We had lunch again in Lereng Agung after our visit to Besakih. This is a touristy restaurant that is in the middle of nowhere. In the 2 times that we ate there on 2 visits to Besakih, there were no locals eating, an indication already of the place. The buffet food was lousy but edible except perhaps for the noodles... More

This is a tourist restaurant in the middle of nowhere on the Besakih temple route. Out side the front is a massive fruit bat! The food is a Buffett affair and not very good but satay noodles rice and vegetables are edible and with some sambal is ok.The banana fritters are quite good actually. The cost is 70,000 rupiahs about... More

Lereng Agung is a tour bus stop in the middle of nowhere, up in the area of Besakih Temple. It is your typical tourist restaurant with nobody but tourists in the restaurant, serving nothing but a buffet for lunch. The buffet costs 70,000 Rupiah ($7.00 USD) per person, I think one reviewer got confused, and contains mostly bad Chinese food,... More

This restaurant is in an out of the way location that you'd never find without local knowledge. Fortunate then that every driver and tour operator deposits tourists daily. As our driver said: Even if you're not hungry you should go for the view. He was right but you feel obliged to eat something and the only thing on offer is... More

When we visited the Besakih Temple in Central Bali, our driver took us to this restaurant for lunch. Yes, as some other people already wrote, the view from the dining area was great, but their buffet food was well below average. Further, we were astonished to see a bill of Rp. 404,400 (about US$46) with one large bottle of beer... More

An excellent view, the buffet is fine, good variety and tasty but open plan there were some flies, increasing risk of getting ill. Staff were friendly but didnt advise that we had to pay extra for drink (free lunch in package), about $2 so no real problem. They were abit suspicious when we were leaving and hadnt paid.

On our way to Besakih the drivers stopped at Lereng Agung restaurant. Stepping into a large building you suddenly notice that its totally open and you have a tremendous view into the valley. Then you smell the food. We have tried about a bit of everything after a clear explanation of the friendly staff members. I say: nothing bad te... More
