Buckhorn Inn is perhaps one of the finest dining experiences in the Great Smokey Mountains. We perceive that some negative reviews originate from novices or those undereducated with 18th and 19th Century Inns. We understand that in the 21st Century, many folks may not appreciate the Inn concept. Buckhorn Inn is a very positive time warp to U.S. 18th and... More

This is the best food-experience-atmosphere you will experience in the area! The quality of the food is top notch as a 4 to 5 star restaurant! EXCELLENT MEAL AND BEAUTIFUL VIEW! We go here every year for the wonderful dinner experience:-)

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and looking for a place that had really great food, as well as a nice atmosphere. This place not only met expectations, but exceeded them. The dinner was a four-course meal and every last one of them were delicious! The menu dinner is different everyday, so we won't experience the same item.... More

The Buckhorn Inn is a bit of a drive from the madness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and well worth it. Escape from the themed, chain restaurants with lots of fun but mediocre food to a quiet, quaint inn and restaurant down Highway 321. They serve breakfast and dinner with dinner being a prix fixe menu. Reservations are required and... More

The Buckhorn is 5 miles from the "Glitz" of Gatlinburg, but once you arrive it might as well be 100 miles. The grounds, the cabins, the hospitality and the the food are excellant. We were there for Christmas and enjoyed every minute. Seemed like most of the other guests were returns, some for many years, I can see why. All... More

The Buckhorn is only a few minutes from all that the community has to offer, yet is set in a quiet and relaxing location. The grounds are beautiful, the food at the inn is delicious, and all comforts of home are met at this beautiful inn. We stayed in one of the houses and absolutely loved it. There were five... More

My family has been dining at the Buckhorn Inn for almost twenty years and I have to say that it has only gotten better. Everything from the quality of the food to the presentation, the ambiance, and the setting are excellent. We especially love the quie romantic atmosphere. While each service features one choice for the main course you can... More

My wife, Sheila and I have been visiting the Buckhorn Inn nearly every year in the Fall since 1996 and in the Summer season a few times as well. John and Lee Mellor have created the perfect sanctuary for us hikers after a vigorous day on the trails of the adjacent Smoky Mountains, or those who simply want to "get... More

An excellent five course gourmet each night. Served by a competent, courteous staff. A different menu each night. Wine available or BYO.

The Buckhorn Inn is one of the reasons I travel to Gatlinburg, TN. On this November evening, the early fine snowfall was sparkling in the headlight beams. By the time I reached The Buckhorn Inn I was fairly transfixed. I turned onto the narrow, dark, wooded, winding road (hugging the hillside on one side and having no guard rail on... More
