Last Saturday while in New York a group of us took the ferry from Pier 11 over to Brooklyn. We walked along Water St making a few stops along the way to look back at Manhattan and take a few photos. This place is hard to get to, very easy walk. It's small and it feels very cozy like being... More

And it was! This time I had a box made of my favorites. Lemon, marzipan, the chocolate with the chile pepper, the chai tea, the key lime..... It really is the best chocolate in NYC. This is a place I will frequent whenever I'm in town!

We walked to this charming little shop on a Sunday afternoon. It was bustling with people but we didn't have long to wait. The chocolates looked intriguing but we just couldn't part with $2.60 per square (about the size of a starburst candy). So we bought giant dark chocolate chunk cookies (about 5-6 inches in diameter) for $3 each. They... More

According to my husband, it's the best chocolate he's ever eaten - trust me - he's eaten quite a few. I preferred peanut butter cookies which were just delicious. Would highly recommend - there are a few around New York, not only in Brooklyn.

What's not to like? As it happens, the Torres emporium is a block from my office. Dangerous. Incredibly fun to see the chocolate being made.

My only two addictions, coffee & chocolate. The only thing I brought back from Paris last year was chocolate, and what I got from Jacques Torres was easily on par with that. I usually visit the DUMBO or Rockefeller Center locations. Never had the hot chocolate, but have heard it is really good too. The lemon pieces taste like they... More

Jacques and co. imbue their chocolate with a deep, almost coffee-esque flavor that impregnates the senses.
