This place was right around the corner from where we were staying and the setting outside is nice and inviting so we thought we would try it out. The waiter was weird but friendly, however could have done a better job in follow up with us during our meal. The coffee is watered down and anything but tasty. Felt like... More

It actually is a diner structure...the food is anything but. Five of us ate and drank superbly for hours one evening. May life always be this good...at least some of the time.

Eating at Diner was possibly the highlight of our food research trip to LA & NYC. It has inspired our own restaurant which we have recently opened in Brighton. The quality of the food here surpassed our expectations and was far better than the surroundings would suggest. I preferred the day menu - and still think about the buttermilk fried... More

Truly is the best burger I've ever had. Absolutely nothing to the place. Hole in the wall across from Peter Lugers. Perfectly done burger with pickled red onion and an ice cold presidente. If you aren't looking for anything fancy and enjoy burgers this is the best spot in NYC.

I'm afraid I can't rate this as highly as I'd like to. Three of us went to breakfast here, one of the three only ordered coffee, and still the total bill (including tax and tip) was $45.20. No one ordered anything extravagant or over the top -- just two plates on the menu for two people (which were delicious but... More

Just love this beautifully restored orginal diner from 1920. It is very cosy to sit in there and the burger is so tasty! We also like the very friendly atmosphere in this authentic place! Simply a must if you stroll around Williamsburg ...

We loved this funky old dinner with a hip crowd and delicious food. Three of us shared celery root soup with hazelnuts and currants, black-eyed peas with winter squash, chiozo and a fried egg on top, sunchokes with cranberry beans, and beets with a modest chunks of halibut. and kale salad with buttermilk dressing. We couldn't agree about which dish... More

We ate in Williamsburg when in NYC last week and tried Diner based on the reviews. The burgers are excellent....maybe the best ever. We shared some appetizers...some were better than others. The risotto balss and roasted beet apps were great while the prawns were tiny, unpeeled but had a great sauce. Seating was very tight. 5 of us at a... More

This place is well worth a visit. Interesting menu and a great atmosphere. We had dinner on a Friday night and came back the following Sunday for brunch. If we're lucky enough to return to Brooklyn, we'll definitely pay another visit to Diner.

Although this restaurant looks like a diner, it is far from being one. The place looks like a shabby diner, but the food is certainly not diner food. The menu changes daily, they take no reservations and they packed which attests to the quality of the food. We had to wait for about 45 minutes on a Saturday night for... More
