I found out this little cafe while I was walking down to the train station. It has a very nice inside. I have tried their coffee and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. They were both very good. Then me and my husband went to have breakfast during the weekend and we ordered breakfast sandwich. They do not put precooked eggs in... More

Located in the heart of Brookline Village (just a few steps across the Brookline Village T stop on the Green Line) This is one of my favorite neighborhood places: cozy, inviting, friendly little place owned by a local family that serves fresh, healthy and authentic food (try the Sabzi plate, for example). It's not always easy to find baked treats... More

Lots of vegetarian options. Delicious food. We were offered recommendations by the owner. I will definitely return.

Kookoo cafe is a European-style artsy cafe with wonderful sandwiches and dishes (middle eastern place highly recommended as is the tuna sandwich!), great coffee/tea and all very reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly, making it a lovely place to sit down for coffee or a small bite. It also has a small branch in the Brookline Public Library.

This inviting, cozy, eclectic, little cafe right across from the Brookline Village T stop is just the place to go to meet a friend for a coffee or tea and a delicious pastry or a deliciously healthful bowl of soup and a sandwich for lunch. It's the perfect independently-owned alternative to the larger corporate coffee establishments around town, if you... More

I love everything about Kookoo...this independent cafe is cute and warm and cozy with a quirky artsy decor, and everyone seems to know everyone or at least they've seen each other at Kookoo and they say hi and smile and wow!...the food, everything I've ever eaten, is excellent (try the tuna... and the mozzarella and tomato and basil on a... If you're looking for a unique little coffee/ pastry/ light sandwich spot to relax working on your laptop, read the morning paper, or simply relax with a few friends, this is the place! It's right in the middle of a busy area (Harvard Street and Route 9), but because it's down a side street, it never feels busy or rushed.... More

I LOVE this hidden little gem run by an Israeli couple (I could be wrong). They are not open on Sundays - I wish they were! - and it's the perfect place to grab a sandwich and go. On warm days, find a spot to sit outside (one of the reservoirs that aren't too far) - there isn't much seating... More
