I was part of a large group that ate at La Scala recently, and everyone raved about the food. The service was impeccable, and as an added bonus, you can play Bocce while you are waiting for your table. Our group shared a large plate of scallops wrapped in bacon that were simply outstanding.

Avoid the specials as I had veal special which I agreed to based on the waitor's rave opinion (my fault indeed) which was all bone, much fat, surrounded by mushrooms in a tasty sauce. I visited and dined at three different highly rated restaurants in Baltimore's Little Italy and finally chose La Scala because the three each lacked an important element for a party. La Scala delivered. The food, wine, service, décor, ambience, and general comfort level was perfect.

I went there to celebrate my best friend's birthday. The fish she ordered was delicious but overpriced. I ordered a chicken parm and it was good. Overall, we enjoyed the food but I can get the same quality of food at another venue at less cost.
