We went there after dinner at Amicci's Italian Restaurant which is across the street. The gelato is excellent. Prices reasonable. There was a line into the street but it moved well.

Maybe once when they had people working here that cared about customers this was a nice place. Now it's as disappointing as can be. Service is terrible. Ok so the pastry is good. Nah average at best. Waste of time and money.

The pound cake was stale & as hard as a rock. The strawberries tasted awful & probably, came out of a can. Both were inedible & shouldn't have been served. The gelato was VERY good.

We went here based on our friend's recommendation and the travel channel highlight. We found the pastries to be just average. Was it because we had high expectations, or because they were average? I think the latter of the two... We would try to find someplace new to try next time. The cookies were better than the pastries, in our... More

The line out the door of this restaurant gave us an idea that it would be good. They have all sorts of Italian desserts, we tried the buttery cookies, and a creamy Napoleon. It was all wonderful. The place was too crowded to sit and eat, which would have been nice.

I came after having a meal at Mama's, located a few stores down the road. They have gelato, assorted cookies and lots of pastries and cake. I ordered Apple Neapolitana and it's very sweet! I am not fond of desserts but because of the high ratings, I came. The plus thing is the servers, Teresa and Brenda are great! The... More

Awesome shop in historic Little Italy, just a few minutes walk from the Inner Harbor. Truly Italian there are pastries and gelati for every taste and palate. Upstairs us another seating area with a "bar" serving typical "after dinner drinks" and a variety of coffee, espresso and capuchino. Well worth the walk, prices are very reasonable.

The food was good. I had an egg panini and my hubby had the blt. It was a lot of food and very good. The potato salad was surprisingly awesome and we are from the south, we know potato salad! The service was great. You can't ask for more.

Stopped by during a late night stroll of the city...The tiramasu gelato was wonderful as were the baked goods we took back to the hotel with us. The place was pretty crowded but as a tourist from Wyoming with little to no access to these types of bakeries it was a pleasant surprise!

I have lived in Baltimore for over 30 years and Vaccaro's is somewhat of an institution. However, I have been there many times over the years and just don't see what the fuss is all about -- and I am half Italian.
