Description: Esin has been a neighborhood jewel since opening in 1998. The name Esin is not only the name of one of the owners but also means “inspiration”. The food is the passion of Chef & Owners Curtis and Esin deCarion. They strive to create cuisine that is fresh, seasonal, and prepared with great care. The fare is American with bits of Mediterranean influences. The wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast magazines. Esin Restaurant & Bar relocated in July of 2008 to the Newest upscale lifestyle center The Rose Garden in Danville. The freshly designed dining room offers warm and comforting tones. Be sure to save room for one of Esin’s fresh made desserts that have become so well known.

My understanding is that Cafe Esin still exists and that a new restaurant called Esin Restaurant and bar has been opened. This was our first visit which was prompted by a restaurant review in a local magazine and the occasion was lunch on our 37th anniversary. Rather than use Open Table to book I wanted a more personal reservation. Nellie... More

Have been visiting Cafe Esin in both its current and prior locations on a regular basis. The food is fresh, well prepared and delicious! They are consistent in offering wonderful selections and daily specials. Love it!

This is our go-to restaurant in the area, for consistently good quality food, always nicely presented. The tastes in dishes are blended superbly...in such a way that the individual ingredients stand out and are not overpowered by the stronger flavors....this is delightful, and increasingly a rarity when strong peppers or saltiness predominates so many chefs dishes. Service is attentive, but... More

Esin is the place to go in the "680 corridor" area. It's owned and run by a husband (Curtis) and wife (Esin), the service is The Best, and the food is very good. NB: The best thing about this restaurant is their desserts (Esin is the pastry chef), so plan your meal accordingly. We often eat at the bar, and... More

As part of my business trip our group arranged dinner at this place and since it is always packed, you must make a reservation. I'll start with service. If there would be a 6 star rating, they would most certain earn it!! That well it was. Now with the reason for my 3 stars...Food. Menu is fancy (and pricey), and... More

I was excited to try Esin as it's gotten great reviews. Butternut Squash soup was the special soup and a personal favorite of mine. It was bland and boring. I went for the Pot Roast which gets rave reviews as did some of my friends and we all thought it was small portion, dry and umimaginative. I've had better pot... More

We were there for a birthday celebration. Glad I'd made reservations as our reservations were for 12;30PM and the restaurant was very busy, but we were greeted promptly at the front desk and escorted to our table. The server arrived within moments and introduced herself--Erin-and was very accommodating, letting us know the specials and opening our bottle of wine, which we had brought.... My wife and I just had lunch here on Sunday. Nice and relaxing spot. The service is always good. The menu has something for everyone. We started with the cheese sampler plate ($16). Three artisan cheese served with candied nuts, honey, figs and apple chutney. Really nice pairing. They offer wines by the glass in 3 oz or 6oz. pours... More

Everytime I have eaten here they have been stingy with the bread and if you ask the waitress for butter, you get one tab for 3 people and I am not joking. I am not sure why this is, and when our table asked for more, you know what we got? Another ONE tab of butter! We will not be... More

I had read excellent reviews of Esin, so I took a friend to lunch recently. Maybe it was because it was just lunch, but the place didn't blow me away - it was a standard nice restaurant but nothing more. I was very impressed with the wine list and will go back for dinner soon, maybe the dinner menu is... More
