This is an antebellum inn near town-center. The dining room upstairs has very good food and Civil War era costumery, with pleasant servers. Prices are not bad for a tourist attraction.

they have great food here, and a beautiful gift shop to take home a special remembrance of Gettysburg.
The inn itself was too busy and crowded to eat inside, but we enjoyed a nice burger and brew in their outside table area. Nice service and very friendly waitresses.
We had dinner there again and it was very good. The staff are very friendly. The gift shop staff are very friendly too. See you in the fall Jim and Mike
We were really looking forward to dining here as on previous visits the food was excellent but this trip was a huge disappointment. Our server was personable and did her best but the service was slow and the food mediocre at best.
Two busloads of students were leaving when we arrived so this may have contributed to the kitchen issues...

Dobbin House Tavern in the Downstairs has a Great Atmosphere, staff in period costume, and the food it Terrific. A Quaint Gift shop on the Main Level, and lots of History.
Our meal was very good. I had the crab ala Dobbin - melts in your mouth! Service was very good. Dining area is crowded.
Lunch time in May, no problem getting a table without reservations in the Cellar (downstairs, the casual dining area). This was a lot of fun for the family, and we enjoyed very good food and excellent service. No windows downstairs, so if stone walls give you a little chill, best to bring a sweater to throw on or light jacket....

When you walk down into the tavern, it feels you are stepping back in time. It is a small tavern and can get very busy, but we hit at the right time and it was wonderful. Food was excellent, service attentive and the atmosphere beautiful and enchanting. The only thing they need food wise is some type of homemade fries....

Historic. Legendary. Super settings both Pub-like and fine dining. How they handle the volume (and always with a smile) of locals and visitors continues to astound.
