Yes Angels has changed but nothing ever stays the same for ever. We ate here 10 years ago under the previous owners and then again in April this year. Lots of new different items on the menu now but also the good old favourites. We enjoyed it and the service was good.

Was very excited to eat at Angel's again after having been disappointed during Summer 2012 when they were closed! Unfortunately, it wasn't the experience we were hoping for. New owners took over, new decor in the restaurant, new items on the menu with some old favorites missing...it just wasn't the same restaurant. The food was fine, it wasn't awful but... More

The prices were reasonable, nice decor, and I loved the lobster taquitos. Why do they have lobster taquitos in a mountain ski resort? I don't know. But, they were delicious and served with a mango salsa. I had these with the french onion soup.

Dinner at Angel's Restaurant has always been a part of any trip I've made to Mammoth Mountain, so I was dismayed to hear that the dining room and menu had gone through a major overhaul. After a recent visit, however, I'm pleased to report that this old favorite has in fact had a makeover, but deep down it is still... More

So happy to have Angel's open again. Went for lunch on our way out of Town on Sunday and the food was great. I had the 1/2 pulled pork with a salad. Plenty to eat and the flavors went well together. My husband had fish & chips also quit good. They did a very nice remodel of the restaurant. Service... More

Peggy and I had supper here this evening with our daughter, son in-law and grandson. Very friendly people, recently remodeled, nice menu selection. We would not have believed it was Tami's first night. She did a great job. The BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich Matt and I had was very good. Tender beef slices and good seasonings. Gretchen's Chicken ABC sandwich was... More

visited Angel's twice in March. pulled pork sandwich remains very good. beef brisket dinner--some of the most tender BBQ beef brisket that I've ever had. compared to the old Angel's: the old angel's brisket was heavily smoked with good flavor but was dry. it needed the BBQ sauce because it was dry. the new style beef brisket is moist and... Average service, continued to have to reach out to the waitress to get attention, food OK---the barbeque "burnt ends" were really poor compared to what we have gotten in Kansas City and Atlanta. Generic menu with red meat and chicken offerings and the price was OK. I remember this place being solidly better four years ago when I ate here.

Almost as good as it used to be. For years Angel's was the "mecca" for great BBQ (ribs, beef, chicken, etc) on the mountain. This past summer it was sold and the new owners did some renovation for a couple months and it just recently reopened. The menu is nearly the same and everything is still very good, just not... More

Quick helpful service, and tasty comfort food. A cross between tavern and diner. The warm brownie desert is better than what most places offer.
