We went here two nights running. First night we had a very jolly waitress (from Romania I think) who was great and dealt with a problem we had perfectly (meat loaf was served cold - the warm version was delicious). Second night we had a bored girl serving us who clearly couldn't wait for the end of her shift. The... More

There aren't many choices in Death Valley but we were happy with this one! What can you expect in the middle of the hottest place in America?? The food was great, we had tuna and an incredible veggie burger (spring for the $1.50 fire roasted green chili pepper... Wow! So good!! Cold drinks, and they were even nice enough to... More

"Valley Hiker" Bowl of Penna pasta was very tasty, kinda spicy (just like I like it) tomato based sauce with little chunks of chicken. No bread with it. Filling but not as much as you might think you'd get for $18.50.

Staff is always nice and helpful! I love the old pictures and random decor of the restaurant! Food options are good, and always filling!

Average food, poor service and high prices is what to expect here. We ate here just 2 times, once for dinner and once breakfast, both a disappointment. We paid $20 plus tip for a hamburger, fries & drink dinner ($40 for both of us) and had their $15 eggs, bacon & coffee for breakfast ($30 for us both). The food... More

We did the long but worth-while trip here from Vegas (renting a car at the hotel not the airport which was easier and cheaper). Really the only place around to eat - had some interesting burgers and local beers which were fine. The place isn't updated or terribly clean but it was adequate. The help was nice and friendly. Wouldn't... More

We dropped in on this place during our travels around Death Valley. Nothing outstanding, just a good casual cafe / restaurant with a wide selection of good food and service at reasonable (for DV) prices. This is not where you'd go for your wedding banquet, but for simple everyday meals it's more than OK; would be happy to go back... More

We did not have high hopes, given some of the other reviews, but had a really good meal. The service we found good. We were told it would be 30-40 minutes to wait for a table and ended up only waiting 10 minutes. Despite clearly being very busy our waitress (from Romania) was a delight. The kids menu made the... May have to wait to be seated for dinner in this very casual diner type restaurant. Our wait mid-week, around 6:30PM, was about 30 minutes. The menu is adequate and might be considered to have high prices but it is in the desert. The servers were enthusiastic and accommodating.

We ate at the cafe three or four times. The food is especially good for breakfast. The place is family friendly and the service is prompt. What's not to like?
