The wait was about 45min at 9:00 at night. The service wasn't very friendly and since it is a small restaurant it was extremely loud. The food and sangria were great and worth the wait!
We found Cafe Cortadito in the first weeks it was opened . We loved it from the first bite. Gracious hostess always help and welcoming . One carnivore, one vegetarian. both happy . a rare event ? From the salads, appetizers to the main course. Not a bad thing in the menu. For quieter diners ask for the back room... More
We ate outside and had a very good dinner -- Churrasco, Chuleta de Puerco and a Vegetariano -- plus very tasty white sangria. Good value for NYC.
I went here with larger party (12+) for a friends birthday this summer. I WILL NEVER be going back again. The food was okay -- nothing to rave about, the entree portions are small (I had to get a piece of pizza once we left because I was still hungry!), and the service is slow. But that is not my... More
Food 4 stars Everything else 1 star Summary: Hostess seemed to hate people, was rude and unapologetic for delays in seating us – despite having a reservation. My friend and I went to Cafe Cortadito just for the fried calamari before meeting friends for dinner somewhere else. It was perfect! We also enjoyed eating outside very much. She said that a beef dish there is amazing, too, but I didn't have it this time. Would definitely go back.
If you are looking for flavorful, delicious Cuban food, then this is the place to go! The service is great and the owners and staff are very nice. The food is always good so I always know that I'll find something I like. Sunday for brunch is a good time to go...or even during lunch. We've also been there for... More
My husband and I love this restaurant. The owners are wonderful people and the food is delicious! We have been there for brunch, lunch and dinner many times and have never been disappointed. We've taken family and friends and everyone has always loved it. Ropa vieja is a fave of course, but we have tried many dishes and have never... More
I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this place (maybe besides the fact that I once went twice in one day - brunch and dinner) and generally make it there once (but usually more) each month. It is a cute and cozy place on Ave B and 3rd Street. The front room is for smaller parties (generally... More
