Superior level of cheese and wine experience. Small plates with delicious appetizers which are difficult to avoid. Crostini and homemade pickles in unusual marinade are must to start with. 3 cheeses flights are really good. Balanced selection of different cheese delights. Great wine. Get it by glass paired as fromagier recommended. Nice meats. And service is awesome. There are long... More

Great location if you are near Central Park - small little restaurant specialising in, yes, as per title, cheese and wine. Interesting and varied list of cheeses - on the expensive side as a traveller from europe, but still worth a look.

I was in NYC for one week and really wanted to go to a nice place. I went to this restaurant I read pretty good reviews, but the atmosphere was not so good, it was too crowded (they dont accept reservations) and loud, we had to wait for more than half an hour to be seated at the bar, and... More

Very small cafe but still cosy if you are willing to wait for a table. Had a meat & cheese plate that came with different mustard - sauce - relish - etc. for each cheese. Each was really good in it's own way. We then had a couple of tapas which were also very nice. Our wine was great (waiters... More

This was my second solo visit to this Hell's Kitchen Wine and Cheese Bar. The first time I was treated amazingly and this second time 3 years later there was no change. I had some cheese pairings with the always brilliant New Mexico bubbly (yes believe it!) followed by the de-constructed pork bun with some Château Neuf. All I can... More

Found it on Trip Advisor, tried it before the show, not disappointed. Casellula is a tiny spot with a tiny kitchen, intimate and full of atmosphere. We sat at the bar and enjoyed MatchBook “Tinto Rey” the Chicken Liver Pate topped with housemade crème fraîche and the Chicken Apple Sausage Spaetzle. A lovely experience!

Went to Casellula last night after Jersey Boys - what a lovely wine bar. Prices are reasonable. We asked the sever to make us a cheese plate based on the glasses of wine our party ordered - so delicious! Only suggested - to offer more options for ordering glasses of wine (nice list for ordering by the bottle!). Be prepared... More

If you appreciate good cheeses, you'll love this place. On a recent visit to NY, I went to this small restaurant tucked away in Hell's Kitchen. I was blown away by the choice of cheeses available. Contrary, to what I'm used to, we had a selection of cheeses served as appetizers paired with chutneys, or other suitable accompaniment for each... More

This restaurant revolutionised my view of American cheese. Astoundingly delicious food and drink in a beautifully kitted out space, served by people who really know what they are talking about.
