We ate here during a quick trip to soho during a layover on the way to Europe. Delicious brunch! Will go back!
One of my pet hates about a restaurant is when the look of the place is let down by the food, No danger of that here. The front of the restaurant looks like a ramshackle place no one would go to eat but once past the burly doorman you're into a different world. "Did I hear correctly?" I asked my... More
Whether u are visiting new york for the first time, or live in NYC , this place was great. It is " speak easy " based eatery and it was awesome. The whole experience was great. Do not run away from the abandoned diner look at the front. MAKE A RESERVATION. The bar scene was nice, but I appreciated having... More
You have to know what you're looking for to find the trendy Mexican and tapas restaurant in the Flatiron / Soho area of New York City. It sits below a shoddy looking taco diner which actually serves similarly amazing and authentic Mexican food to standing-room only at times customers. Once you have a reservation and arrive, meet the doorman and... More
Forget sticky cheese on nachos or chewy fajitas. This restaurant offers the best mexican food I've ever tasted! Bites of flavour in a warm ambient: the ideal spot to spend a night with friends. Impossible to tell which plate is the best: just follow the suggestions of your waiter, relax and be ready to eat something really original and tasty.
Restaurant came recommended by a friend & did not disappoint! Enter through a milkbar to an underground dining room, surrounded by stone walls, lit by candles - the ambience & setting was an experience within itself! The food amazing, the pulled pork tacos are unforgettable!
We booked well in advance to this new york hotspot. We entered the diner down a set of stairs, through the kitchen to a large restaurant in the basement. The atmosphere is lively, bathrooms rustic and prices reasonable. The food is delicious! If you are in NY, do yourself a favor and go to La Esquina
One of the more interesting dinner locations I have ever been to in NYC, located in the basement below a taco stand that only opens up after 6pm. Although the bar and dining area are a little too dark, the service was attentive and the food was above average. Everyone ordered different appetizers and entrees so we could experiment with... More
We miraculously found a table at La Esquina on the same day (booking in advance is a must for this place), and went with high expectations after looking at the reviews and hearing what our friends had to say about the place. Well our expectations were surpassed with the first dish, until the last bite. This is without a doubt... More
We were taken here by friends who now live in NYC and it was standout experience! Lead through the kitchen to the bunker style restaurant makes you feel like you're about to experience something unique - and it was! Awesome food, great cocktails and pumping music made this place even better.
