Love this restaurant. Southern Italian wtih Amalfi Coast themes. White linens on the table so don't go in wearing jeans and your best zip track jacket. Give this place some respect. The staff gives you a lot of respect. They are professional and serious. Don't be offended if you can 't make friends with your waiter or your Host. They... More

I went here on a Thursday night while on a business trip. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and would have been romantic if I were there with a significant other. The food was mostly Northern Italian, and was pretty good. I can't find anything in particular that I didn't like, but I didn't leave saying I have to return.... More

Recently dined here with my wife and have several times in the past. The food was good and the service prompt if not friendly and engaging. The price though for black truffle risotto, and yes I know truffles are expensive, was beyond the pale. The wine recommended by the captain at $110 was ok but a very ordinary Barbera d'... More

Top notch, old school service. The first time I dined here I had dinner here with my guy and some of his friends - all of whom are regulars. They were all greeted by last name and the manager came by our corner table several times through out the night to check on us and chat. The menu is very... More

We ate at several restaurants whilst on our recent trip to NYC. Many were excellent, but this establishment was superb. The position and ambience is sublime, as is the welcome and the service, nothing is too much trouble. The menu was presented, together with an explanation of the specials. The diners were obviously mostly regulars, but that did not make... More

We received a warm welcome when we arrived, with some very personal attention from whom I assume was the owner. We talked about the things we liked, and he made us a menu on the spot. We never opened the ones handed to us. We had the stew and the pesto linguini. Just fantastic. Linguine done to perfection, and the... More

It is an excellent restaurant. The attention of the waiters very good. Apart from the letter there were the day dishes added by this incredible maitre with a napoletano (¿?) accent. Presentation of the dishes great, quality and superb taste. The furniture is a little cluttered but ..... superb food!. We shared an appetizer "Sepia cooked with cherry tomatoes, black... More

A terrific place to eat, but quite costly. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the Maitre D' quite the character. He made sure we were well fed...from appetizer to dessert. His attention was part of the fun and provided great entertainment value. They are serious about their food and about satisfying their clientele. More

San Pietro is a power restaurant in the city. I'm beginning to wonder if people only come here to write bad reviews. I don't understand why anyone would ever write a bad review of this restaurant. Either you do not understand NYC, the restaurant or you have no idea what you're talking about. So here's my advice--if you see a... More
