We enjoy eating here when we get into the city. The pickles, coleslaw and sandwiches are terrific! Yes, it is consistent and that's what we love about this place. I don't know how else to describe it except to say, please try it, you won't be disappointed. Even though they have other sandwiches, I always end up ordering the Cindy... More

Love the Cindy Adams (corned Beef and Pastrami) all the way (coleslaw and Russian Dressing). My wife enjoys the chopped steak meal with boiled potato. It's definitely expensive, but has been so consistent over the years that I always return. The turkey and brisket are both dry to my tastes so I don't eat them, but everyone I have brought... More

We were looking for deli sandwich and this is what they do. Oversize portions, but good food. More

We could not remember the name of this resturant that we had the best pickles in our lives. We remembered about where it was, but not the name. After a cab ride to another advertised "pickle " Resturant we did I not recognize it,so we walked a couple of blocks and found the Stage Deli that we had been to... More

I remember corned beef and pastrami with a lot more taste and a lot less money. It's a tourist trap. More

Food is plentiful. They still smoke their own meats. Corned beef is fab so is chopped liver. Do not ask for lean - it's deli for heaven's sake, not health food! Cheesecake is the best! Ask for topping if you think real NYC cheesecake is dry (I married a Midwesterner - what can I say). Go hungry. Eat anything on... More

Stage Deli was in walking distance of our hotel but I would have gone even if it wasn't. It's always dependable for excellent deli sandwiches ( I think the pastrami is best) but there's a large number of combinations or choices. The prices are reasonable for the huge portions. Excellent NYC deli. More

When we travel to New York city we always eat a couple of times at Stage Deli during our visit. They have the best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. The sandwiches are huge and can be split by two people. You can also order a half sandwich, which is relatively new, and one can get corned beef and the other... More
