I rode 5 stops and waited in line 50 minutes to try their bland and soggy pizza. The house salad was bitter from too much red wine vinegar & oregano and too cheap on the oil - The pizza crust was half mush by the time it reached the table and there was not a single bright flavor element in... More

The 'best' pizza will always be personal taste but I found John's to be a little on the heavy side. Worth going just for the experience but my vote goes to Lombardi's More

Very proximate to little Italy , on the bleecker street, old looking place. Good taste and photos of celebrities make it special. More

As a native native New Yorker, living on the west coast now, I always try and visit John's when I am in town which, fortunately, is often. And I am never disappointed. The restaurant is clean but they prefer to keep the years of scratched names into the wooden tables and walls, intact. The old tin ceiling and fans let... More

This place was not "fancy" but so cool with a lot of character. I mean and really the Atmosphere doesnt matter with pizza as good as it is here. No slices but you can quickly get a small 6 piece pie which was perfect for me and my parents , though we could've polished off a big pie. Bottom line... More

Doesn't look much from the outside, quite dark and atmospheric inside. Tables, benches and wooden wall cladding in a dark varnished wood that has been 'etched' on by visitors, like you would do to your school desk! Lots of signed photos of famous people having visited (Johnny Depp was above our table). In the second part of restaurant they cook... More

Definitely, come hungry and be prepared to wait. I thought the pizza was excellant we ordered the margarita and the peporoni one. The Margarita pizza came with fresh tomatoes. I thought the tomatoes could be a little fresher. They tasted unripened but that didn't stop me from eating the pizza. They don't have iced tea. They brought me bottled tea... More

The problem about New York pizza is that one is better than the other. So if you are a lover and consumer of great pizza and are expecting the heaven's to open up when you have the pizza here, it ain't happening! It's good, great dough and sauce, crispy bottom. Service good enough for a pizza joint. Just enjoy it... More

Not particularly proud of the fact that I ate half a large pizza by myself but well worth the shame. Excellent on all counts, feels like a mom and pops meets clean dive bar very relaxed atmosphere More
