The Carnegie Deli is a NYC landmark, so we, visited it during a family reunion, the food was Ok, the service was terrible. Their host Heather, was so rude, this lady does not have any clue of what’s customer service is. Thanks to Troy (waiters) we had a better service. This third generation management needs to Step It Up, if... More

While in NYC, I looked for the legendary places to see and of course, this mainstay was on my list. I ordered a turkey/corned beef sandwich and the size of it was ridiculous! I had to get a picture of it! Of course, it wasn't cheap either. I guess I understand their no sharing policy, but I wasn't able to... More

I went here with my girlfriend and her sister for lunch while living in NYC in 2011 as it had been recommended as the place to get the real taste of a NYC deli. The place was very busy, and it was pretty cool to see all the autographed celebrity visitor pictures on the walls. Once seated, we looked for... More

we were held outside for the longest time and then shuffled into a large room full of strangers and shared a table with strangers. the sandwiches were good, but TOO much for even two people to share. and they are like 18.00 sandwich. Not worth the hype and uncomfortable dining. the servers were un attentive and unprofessional. More

I don't even like pastrami but the hot pastrami here was delicious! Loved the rye bread too. My husband and I split a sandwich and it was plenty. But for $20, it should be. We went for the experience. I thought you'd order from a counter but you sit down and there is wait staff. The green pickles are good... More

After having eaten at Katz's, I was so disapointed. The Pastrami had so many large chunks of fat in it, and just wasn't that great. The Knish my wife had was actually pretty good. More

Well.. It's been 9 years since my last visit and a lot has changed. All the old ladies as waitresses are gone, except for one I saw... The food is somewhat a shadow of what it was and yes: it's still a massive amount, which justifies the price (double than anyplace else in the area). The place is tiny and... More

Ok, so it's very cheap. And the staff have a real attitude (which is clearly all an act but no less enjoyable for all that). But why so much food on one plate. What a waste. (I presume many people get a doggie bag, but its not an option if you're going to see Jersey Boys afterward, and I am... More

We've eaten at Carnegie Deli many times before, and it has the best cheesecake, hands down. However, it seems they are just out to make money, and don't really care about the customer. We went in for just a piece of cheesecake and something to drink.....but there is a minimum charge of $12.50 per person, so we ordered a sandwich... More

Loved, loved, loved the Cornbeef Sandwich and the Strawberry cheesecake was "to die for". The place is always full, better have an early lunch, say about 11:00 AM to make sure you have a table. Serving is huge so the two of us ordered just one sandwich. More
