We waited an hour to be seated, recalling the amazing meals we had just one year ago. Sadly, only one food item remained the tasty treat we remembered (which is why I downgraded my score from 5 stars to 3 stars). The Huevos Rancheros are out of this world, but EVERYTHING else we ordered was only average at best. Our... More

I was visiting NYC and I decided to visit an old haunt for some pancakes. Although I went on a Tuesday morning, there was still a long wait. The blueberry pancakes were light and delicious - basically all that one can ask of a pancake. I tried them with the homemade raspberry preserves which was supposed to be used with... More

This is the best place for brunch in the Lower East Side. The restaurant only sits about 40 customers and yes, the line is long especially at weekends, but it is well worth it. In our week long visit we had brunch here 3 times and it was nothing to do with the fact it was only around the corner... More

A very good and interesting simple restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary in the menu but everything well executed. The line outside almost all the time is surrsing as there are others in the area as good or nearly so. But this is NY where are line seems to be an irresistible attraction. More

I was surprised how crowded the place was on a Tuesday morning... I got lucky when two parties ahead of me didn't show up and the 30-45min waiting time shrank to 5 minutes! I loved my buttermilk biscuit sandwich and will come back for the pancakes, but definitely not on a weekend! More

Breakfast is my favorite meal especially when someone else does the cooking. Since I work such early hours and rarely get to splurge and linger over breakfast, this was a treat. We went early on a Saturday morning, the wait was about an hour, but we were determined! Definitely not disappointed! The pancakes were as good as reported, grits were... More

After several attempts to enjoy breakfast at this icon, we made it without an hour-long wait. I'd heard about the iconic candied bacon, and that was the immediate draw, but the pancakes were superb - the cakes moist with a satisfying texture, the biscuit and egg sandwich quite tasty. Cheese grits, made from a finer than usual grind, were creamy... More

we went here based on the Goop reviews - we were there on a Monday morning about 10 and had a 15 minute wait which was fine, but can't imagine what the queues are like on the weekend! It was nice, and maybe if we had just stumbled upon it we would have been quite happy, but honestly it was... More

Over 30min wait on a WEEKDAY before 10am. Was excited to try the famous pancakes...it was nice but not THAT great...nothing I would ever wait in line for (ever again) I alo had ther sugar cured bacon, yum but not crispy, onion rings...good but $6?! Really?! Grits weren't great, tasted of fake cheese flavour. I thought the food was overpriced... More

We were told this place has the best pancakes & syrup in all of NYC. Oh were we disappointed! There were 5 in our party and we went on a weekday. There was no crowd so we were seated shortly after arriving. We ordered 2 plates of blueberry pancakes, an omelet with biscuit, buttermilk pancakes & eggs with toast. Not... More
