Even if you are a meat-lover, you will probably find something that suits you in this pleasant and affordable vegan restaurant that also offers beer and wine. My only complaint would be that the portions are so large. Consider splitting one dish between two, especially at lunch.

This place is great for a mixed group of vegetarians and meat-eaters! I was the only vegetarian at my table but everyone loved their meal and my friends were pleasantly surprised with how delicious vegetarian food can be.

Whether I want to eat in or take out, when I want some great, fairly inexpensive vegetarian food, I will go to Red Bamboo. Their cajun-inspired, Chinese-based fare is always satisfying. From time to time, they add some new creations to the menu, which is great, because I do tend to order the same 6 or 7 dishes that I... More

This is a small, strictly vegetarian (mostly vegan) restaurant. It specializes in fake meat dishes, such as Buffalo chicken wings and beef steak. I am not a vegetarian; we went with people who are. Personally, if I am going to eat vegatarian meals, I prefer to eat vegetables. This restaurant does not have many dishes that actually have vegetables; they... More

We went here following the reviews on tripadvisor and were not disappointed by it. Food was great and service really quick, we were staying inTimes Square and the restaurant is only a 15 minute subway ride away. Highly recommended and nice to have a great varied vegetarian choice in a place.

I love the small "cozyness" of this restaurant. Great menu full of choices. I highly recommend the faux ribs.

went to my second vegan restaurant, and i enjoyed it! had buffalo chicken wings with french fries (fries were to die for -- super crunchy!). wings were coated in tangy BBQ sauce that was delish, and i could hardly tell that it wasn't true chicken. for dessert, i had chocolate ice cream that was just OK. portions are big, so... You mean this isn't chicken?! If you are looking for great vegetarian food then this is your place! I'm not anything close to a vegan but I absolutely love this place and the menu. Who new "mock" shrimp and chicken could taste so good. During my visit I had the mock shrimp and coconut chicken appetizers and the eggplant parmesan.... More

This restaurant is a breath of fresh air for vegetarians. It's in Greenwich Village, between 6th Ave and Macdougal (quite close to Magnolia Bakery so handy for a trip there for dessert!). The menu is full of fresh, interesting and unique dishes which all have the taste and appearance of meat. There really is something for everyone, from veggie fish... More
