This place is around by me, so I'm always hanging out there! They have great Happy Hour Cocktail's!!!
Delicious strawberry butter provided with muffin and bread basket. Water is served from a vodka bottle, which is fun. Definitely good value for a good brunch and an awesome atmosphere.
I always love going here. It's a bit lowdown and tacky and totally fun. The food always surprises me. Even the Japanese offerings aren't bad. You can have chicken wings, pigs in a blanket and sushi all at the same time. It's eclectic and silly. There's great variety on the menu. The service is never good, but that's my only... More
My favorite eating hole is the High Life Restaurant and Lounge on the Upper West Side at Amsterdam Ave and 83rd St. No pretensions. It's laid back style and funky retro interior makes you want to slide into a booth in the evening with friends and enjoy a perfect burger and cold brew. Or, take a seat in the side... More
The menu has a vast array on offer. All cuisines are represented, we shared appetisers with jugs of sangria and in our own time we ordered the mains. The place was very busy, but the service was attentive and helpful, even directing us to the 'happy hour' appetisers. Each of the five diners at our table was very happy with... More
The happy hour specials make this place stand out. Excellent service, good prices, and the food is ok. I like the drink menu. Worth a stop.
My wife and I live only a few blocks from this Upper East Side restaurant and so last night we decided to walk over and have dinner here. We have walked by many times and it is always crowded so we decided to give it a try. We had a quick drink in the bar while waiting for a window... More
Our party went to Hi Life around 11PM for some late night drinks on Thursday. There were very few people in the lounge. We got some drinks and appetizers, and both were very average. We like this area and hang out here a lot, so there are definitely better options available. Hi Life is not worth a comeback.
My girlfriend and I met up and were looking for a relaxed spot where we could have a good dinner and at a reasonable cost and no stuffiness. We stopped in, got seated and I had the best virgin piña colada and my steak was absolutely delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere very relaxing. We were pleasantly surprised... More
I've been going to the Hi Life almost since it opened many moons ago. It's has grown with the West Side I ate their last night and the menu just gets better every time they change it. Most recently a subtle hint of asian fusion along with french and american cuisine. How about sushi and steak au poivre? Never had... More
