Description: With Shun Lee Cafe conveniently located across from Lincoln Center, Dim Sum is just the ticket. The Cafe, a black and white checkerboard dining room, decorated with images from the Chinese calendar. Terrific Dim Sum on rolling carts in constant motion and a variety of dishes in smaller portions completes the menu at Shun Lee Cafe. The Cafe is a great pre-theater stop for a “quick” dinner.

First off, we are more Hole-in-the-Wall Chinatown type people. The food is very tasty and convenient to Lincoln Center. However, you get much better variety of Dim Sum in Chinatown at a lower price. More

The food at Shun Lee West is always good. Ingredients are fresh and freshly prepared, menu is imaginative, service impeccable. It has long been one of New York City's most popular Chinese restaurants, and with good reason. The prices are high - and the Sichuan dishes are not truly spicy the way that they would be in a genuine Sichuan... More

One of the important draws of Shun Lee West is its location, as it is in the immediate neighborhood of Lincoln Center. And that's why I met a friend and ate there last night. I'm a New Yorker, which means that I have eaten a lot of Chinese food, from neighborhood places to Chinatown haunts to upscale restaurants. And that's... More

Shun Lee, in Lincoln Center, is a truly "up-scale" Chinese restaurant. The room is well decorated with various Asian motifs and is pleasing to the eye. The choices for a Chinese restaurant are unusual and that's one of the reasons I rate it so well. For example, I have never before seen "dumplings with foie gras." It was delicious. And... More

Very expensive for food that is no better than a local take-out Chinese restaurant. Would not eat there again. More

This is a perfect restaurant for seeing a show at the Lincoln Center. We made a 5:30 pm reservation and had pleanty of time before an 8 pm show. The food was spectacular, some of the best chinese food we have had in the city. Wait staff was on the ball! More

On the recommendation from fellow guests at the Hotel Newton (nice place) in NYC we went to eat on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year at SHun Lee West. My son's lemon chicken was dried out and reminded us of some low grade micro-waved frozen dinner, but priced at $25.! My veggie stir fry came complete with canned veggies,... More

Thus restaurant serves quality Chinese food from a variety of Chinese regions. The food is elegantly prepared with fine ingredients. We ate hacked chicken, fois GRAS dumplings, spicy sweetbreads and baked lobster. Everything was delicious. The decor if the restaurant can use an upgrade. It looks really dated More

After wanting to try a Chinese New years tasting menu for years, we found ourselves in NYC this year so went to Shun Lee, one of our favorite restaurants. We did not know what to expect and we had fun trying all the different specialties. Atmosphere was festive and even though extremely crowded, our table was ready on time and... More
