First off, we are more Hole-in-the-Wall Chinatown type people. The food is very tasty and convenient to Lincoln Center. However, you get much better variety of Dim Sum in Chinatown at a lower price.

The food at Shun Lee West is always good. Ingredients are fresh and freshly prepared, menu is imaginative, service impeccable. It has long been one of New York City's most popular Chinese restaurants, and with good reason. The prices are high - and the Sichuan dishes are not truly spicy the way that they would be in a genuine Sichuan...

One of the important draws of Shun Lee West is its location, as it is in the immediate neighborhood of Lincoln Center. And that's why I met a friend and ate there last night. I'm a New Yorker, which means that I have eaten a lot of Chinese food, from neighborhood places to Chinatown haunts to upscale restaurants. And that's...

On the recommendation from fellow guests at the Hotel Newton (nice place) in NYC we went to eat on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year at SHun Lee West. My son's lemon chicken was dried out and reminded us of some low grade micro-waved frozen dinner, but priced at $25.! My veggie stir fry came complete with canned veggies,...

Thus restaurant serves quality Chinese food from a variety of Chinese regions. The food is elegantly prepared with fine ingredients. We ate hacked chicken, fois GRAS dumplings, spicy sweetbreads and baked lobster. Everything was delicious. The decor if the restaurant can use an upgrade. It looks really dated

We did not know what to expect and we had fun trying all the different specialties. Atmosphere was festive and even though extremely crowded, our table was ready on time and...
