We went to the Bridge Cafe based on a review in our guide book. It is a little out of the way, but definitely worth it. We went for lunch and were quickly seated. The menu is much more upscale than it appears from the outside. The service was great and the atmosphere is wonderful as it is very old... More

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Lunch almost under the Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan side after a walk across the bridge and back. The Club sandwich was unique and the Vidalia onion rings were lovely (forget about fattening) $10 wine by the glass. White tablecloths and they take reservations. Go there. More

We saw on OpenTable, there were several reservations available at the Bride Cafe on Saturday, April 29 at about 6 pm. Since we were in the neighborhood, we figured we would just walk over to the restaurant since the reviews were very good. When we arrived, the hostess asked us whether we had reservations, and we replied no. She sneered... More

This is one of a number of non - tourist restaurants, situated a couple of blocks away from South St Seaport (towards the Brooklyn Bridge). Seaports main restaurants appear to be aimed more at the tourist. The Bridge Cafe as the name suggests is situated in the shadows of the Brooklyn Bridge. Situated on a street corner we were initially... More

My husband found this restaurant on Open Table. After looking at the website and menu, I decided that I would enjoy eating here as part of my birthday celebration weekend in the city. The restaurant is located in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge on a cobble stone street. There is a lot of history that has been documented about... More

This is a gem of a restaurant that is right next to the Brooklyn Bridge and just down the street from the South Street Seaport. The prices are very reasonable by NYC standards and the food is excellent. We started with the Austrian bean soup. I had the diver scallops and my husband had the paneed chicken. Both were fabulous... More

Found this place years ago on a Thanksgiving trip. Absolute quality food. Well prepared and served. Ample but not overwhelming portions. Great wine selections and decent cocktails. All on the pricey site, but who's counting! Service is superb. I love it. More

There are not many appealing dinner options in the downtown/business area, but this cafe had a great neighborhood feel, an unrushed, friendly atmosphere and reasonable (for NYC) prices. It was a little unfamiliar to the cab driver, so take the address with you. More

I loved the ambience in this old New York institution. Food and service were also very good. More

Went here for a work dinner with 20 people. It is a little difficult to find (we had GPS on our phone and it took us straight to it....just had to convince the cabby that we knew where to go). Restaurant had the table prepared before the time we had requested. Dining area is small and intimate. Staff was very... More
