Easily made a reservation a week in advance and was seated upstairs. It was much quieter than the main dining area so perfect for a business dinner. Service and food were both great. Not sure if there was a separate wine list but the selection on the menu was by the glass and very limited. I will come back again... More

Somewhat surprised it was so easy to get a table on a weekend, We arrived early with the in ten of having a drink first, but the table was ready, so we decided to be seated. We were waiting for friends (about 20min the time we were booked for) and never felt rushed or over served. The staff was so... More

I have dined here many times over the years and it is my go to because the menu is always changing and the choices are always impeccable. The service is wonderful and they know their stuff. The wine list is also extensive and delicious. I love how the hostess also allows me to sit in the back room as the... More

I hosted a very small and intimate birthday lunch at Union Square Cafe, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accomodating. Our server took extraordinary care of everyone in my party, and even offered to make a special vegetable dish for the vegans in our group (most of the table). the food is amazing -- especially the... Great food and service. Restaurant is a bit on the smaller side and the bar is basically a on entity as the resutarant allows people to eat there (which is nice), but makes it impossible to get a drink ... not that you would have anywhere to stand. We were about 10 minutes early for dinner and had to wait.... More

We visited Union Square Cafe with high expectattions; however it wasn't long until we were dissapointed by the server's attitude which was friendly up to point of asking personal questions like if we were married, how long we've been together etc. Food-wise, the quality didn't rise up to our expectations not because it was not decent but rather due to... If you do not make a reservation in advance and cannot be seated in the dining room area,I would suggest sitting at the bar. Menu is the same and the bar staff is efficient. I had the steak frittes for the first time, it was great. Specials for the day should be considered. More

Every time I visit New York I end up here, no matter which or how many other restaurants I put on my list as must try this ones! We had another fantastic meal here this time. The lobster ravioli and soft shell crab in particular made it all worthwhile. The room can seem a little formal but generally I love... More
