Description: Experience The Lounge at DANIEL, another side of Chef Daniel Boulud’s renowned Manhattan restaurant. Equally as distinctive as the main dining room, The Lounge offers the same pampering, attentive service and delectable seasonal French cuisine this four-star destination is known for. The Lounge is an intimate wood-paneled space with comfortable sofas, low slung chairs, soft lighting and an ambiance of relaxed elegance. Complete prix-fixe and tasting menus are available here, along with à la carte options. Savor an imitable fine dining experience or drop in for an appetizer and a cocktail, or a late night dessert with Champagne. The music is smooth jazz and the mood a subtly elegant sizzle coming from the adjacent bar. Amongst the restaurant's notorious cocktails are the sultry White Cosmo with elderflower liqueur and the quenching Champagne Mojito. Join the ranks of Upper East Siders in the know who have made The Lounge at DANIEL their neighborhood rendezvous spot.

Although the food and its presentation could not be faulted, along with the service of most of the staff, the Daniel experience left a sour taste in our mouth. Upon presentation of the bill (check), the waiter informed us that the amount was not inclusive of a service charge or tip. Why he felt the need to do this, I... More

From the moment you walk in the door, you are made to feel special. I had the vegatarian 6 course meal and it was outstanding. More

this was awesome and a real dining experience. The food was of course sensational but the plating of each dish was just unreal. A true work of art. We had the six course tasting menu and just were is love with each and every bite. The restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is perfect. This was truely worth every dime... More

This is a fantastic restaurant with outstanding food, wine and service. We had the six course tasting menu, with wine pairings and we've not had a finer meal. It is expensive but well worth the treat! Our waiter was kind enough to steer us to the six course tasting menu instead of the eight course, because it was our first... More

I loved Daniel's. It's not the kind of place you would go every week but if you have something special or a special somebody to celebrate then this is the place. From the moment we entered the cosy and atmospheric retreat we were made to feel welcome and special. Attention to detail is second to none. The food was amazing... More

Daniel is an amazing restaurant. I admit it is expensive, $500 for two people, but it is worth every cent. The staff are extremely professional and the food is 5 star in both taste and presentation. It deserves it's place as one of the best restaurants in the world. More

I went to Daniel with my wife to celebrate her birthday. She loved and me too. Daniel makes unique plates. We enjoyed the staff, who treated us very well. For sure we will to go back. More

A friend and I booked the pre-theatre menu, and unfortunately arrived a bit late (if you're not familiar with New York, please know cabs are hard to get!). Although we were tight on time, this was still a mind-blowing experience. First, when you walk through the revolving doors, be prepared to have your breath taken away. This is absolutely the... More

Daniel's lived up to its billing and reviews. The service at the beginning was excellent, but as the night wore on we seemed to wait for a very long time to have our wine or water glasses re-filled. The wait staff also had a bit of a problem with the fact that we brought our daughter, something I would not... More
