After reading amazing reviews we looked it up. As other reviews says, it is hard to find. No sign, and it is downstairs. But it is in 119 Sullivan Street. A bit disappointed by the very simple interior. And here simple also means a bit cheap.
The menu is amazing. Huge selection signals quality. And it is. Pricey sushis but...

Blue Ribbon is small and does not take reservations, so unless you go fairly early for dinner, you might have a long wait. But once you get that table, either through early arrival or patient waiting, you will be grateful that you are there. The decor is very much that of a Buddhist refectory (eating room), with rough-hewn wood beams...

The place is a little difficult to find. It has no signs outside; you can identify it by a Banzai three next to the door of an old building with a narrow wooden entrance. As you get in a hostess who will take you through another door where you will find the dinning area will welcome you. She will announce...

I'm in New York once a year or so and this restaurant is a must. It's a great little place that serves excellent Japanese cuisine. The Sushi is outstanding and the variety of rolls or not only unique but extremely nice.
It's about half way down Sullivan Street in a house like building. There is no sign as such so...

A menu listing pacific ocean seafood on one side and atlantic ocean on the other. Let me put it this way: Where else can you...

I had dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi alone. They don't take reservations and have a long wait, so it helped with the wait that I was by myself. The place is small, it has a very nice and cozy atmosphere (see pictures). The spicy rolls are awesome. You should definitely taste them if you haven't. There is a very good...

Love this place. Warm wood surroundings, and melt in your mouth sushi. My go to sushi place in NYC. Take friends, family, out of towers, anyone who can appreciate exceptional sushi.
This is ( as of now) the best meal we've had in NY - even my non fish eating wife agreed. The sushi is really good. We ate at Nobu Park Lane 2 weeks ago, which is generally considered to be by far the best Nobu, and the sushi here at Blue Ribbon is in my opinion even better. The...
