It was cold, so the hot soup did help. We got a shrimp bisque and it was wonderful but if they had some tables and chairs nothing fancy; it would have made it an excellent visit. Plus, we were really looking forward to meeting the 'original soupman' but the soup was good enough for the hike from midtown. More

It was down the street from a business meeting I was attending for a few days in the city, and it kept catching my eye simply because of the Seinfeld episode from years back..... I made a mental note to make sure that I stopped there on my last day in the city. You know, grab a cup of soup... More

I went there - as many others - attracted by the fame generated through Seinfeld. What a surprise! Their Lobster Brisque is, simply put, the best soup I ever tried, really awesome! And it comes together with a slice of bread, some wild fruits and a Lindt chocolate. Don't miss it! More

This soup restaurant was made famous by Seinfeld in an episode whose title had an "N" word (which I will not repeat by respect to the owner - see the rules here: http://www.originalsoupman.com/p_rules.aspx). I tried the lobster soup and it was excellent. I had seen some pictures with long lines to get the soup but I had no such problem.... More
