As usual every time I go to New York I went here. Had a meat platter which was plentiful. The pierogis, awesome. Their platters are served with choice of soup, salad and bread. Can't beat their prices. Plentiful and you don't break the bank. Recommended. More

My daughter and I went to New York City and the thing she wanted to do most was go to Veselka. Neither she nor I were disappointed. All we wanted were the pierogi combo plates and we were in heaven. I discovered Veselka in 1981 and have been a regular ever since. I've eaten nearly everything on the menu, and recommend highly the pierogi, borscht, cabbage soup, and blintzes. Went here just after the lunch crowd had left on a Sunday to taste some of the food that my mother-in-law used to make when she was much younger. We weren't particularly hungry but we ordered the blinis with apple sauce and raspberries as well as the potato pancake. Both came out of the kitchen quite quickly and tasted great.... More

Love this spot and eat here once a week. Food is always tastey, good service, often a wait but there is counter seating. Also has outdoor setaing. A reasonably priced diner. More

A great spot. we sat at the breakfast bar and each had something different. All was outstanding. The staff - mostly speak in a Russian dialect - were friendly and a join to watch going about their business. Prices were more than fair for NYC. More

We came here at about 2am after landing in New York at midnight. Loved the Ukrainian stuffed cabbage rolls with a side of buckwheat (but I am Russian). Lovely service, huge portions and great price. Not a fancy place but if you want something filling late at night then this place is perfect. More
